Chief Jeff Wilson

I was hired into the Orofino Police Department Reserve Program in August of 1993. In December of 1993 I was hired full time as a patrol officer for the Orofino Police Department. I worked in that capacity until December of 1996, at which time I took a patrol officer position with the City of Lewiston. I worked for Lewiston PD for approximately one year before returning to the Orofino Police Department. In 2000, I was promoted to the position of Patrol Sergeant and held that position for approximately seven years. In June of 2007 I was promoted to the position of Chief of Police.

I currently hold an Advanced Certificate from Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and have about 1300 documented law enforcement training hours in addition to 72 college credits in Criminal Justice.

Renée Hedrick, Office Manager

I was hired by the Orofino Police Department in October 2007 as Office Manager / Evidence Custodian.  Prior to working for the Police Department I worked for the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office 2002 – 2007 as Office Manager.  I worked for Idaho Fish and Game at the Clearwater Fish Hatchery ten years as Office Administrator, and previous employment at the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office (1979 – 1986) working as Drivers License Examiner/Civil Clerk and Bookkeeper, then promoted to the Sheriff’s Secretary, as well as assisting in dispatch.  I have 158 POST credit hours and 160 hours in continuing education courses.

Corporal Eric Dodge - K-9 Ese

I first started law enforcement in 1999 with the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Department as a communications specialist. In 2001 I was transferred to Weippe as a resident patrol deputy. In 2003 I was hired by the Orofino Police Department and worked here until 2006. I transferred back to the Sheriff’s Department as a patrol corporal for a short time before returning to the police department in 2007.   During my time with the Orofino Police Department I have continued with the drug detection canine unit with canine Ese`. He is a 7 year old black lab mix that is certified to detect certain drugs.

       Aside from my patrol and canine duties I am the firearms and taser instructor. I have an intermediate certificate through the Idaho Peace Officers Standard and Training (POST) coupled with excess of 100 hours of continuing training hours.

Corporal Vincent Frazier

I began my career in law enforcement with the Idaho County Sheriff’s Department in 1989 working as a Patrol Deputy.  In 1996 I became an investigator for Idaho County working narcotics along with two other investigators working the major crimes for the County.  I was part of the tri-county task force where I worked narcotics cases in Idaho, Lewis and Clearwater County. In 2001 I was promoted to Patrol Sergeant where I worked as front line supervisor for Patrol Deputies in the county. 

In 2006 I contracted with the Department of State where I supervised US Police Officers and assisted in mentoring and training Iraq’s Police Force with the goal of stabilizing Iraq.  I mentored and trained the Major Crime Unit in Mosul Iraq.

I have an A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice and hold a Master Certificate in Law Enforcement with Idaho Police Standards in training.

I have over 1000 hours of continued law enforcement.  I am a certified Instructor with the State of Idaho and have a Master Training Certificate with the US State Department.

Officer Tyler Carson

I began working for the Orofino Police Department September 2005 as reserve officer. I was a reserve officer for the Police Department from August 2005 to July 2007.  In February 2006 I was hired by the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Department as a Detention Deputy, then transferred to Patrol Deputy in May 2007 until March 2009, at which time I was hired by the Orofino Police Department as a full time Patrol Officer.

I currently hold a Basic Patrol Certificate and Level I Detention Certificate through the Idaho Peace Officer's Standards and Training (POST) Academy. I also have over 1100 hours of documented law enforcement training.

Officer Mike Shore

I began my Law Enforcement career  in 2006 after completing the Georgia Police Academy. I have worked for several smaller agencies equivalent to Orofino before working for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in Augusta, Georgia. I have been assigned to various fields to include Narcotics, K-9, and Traffic Enforcement. I currently hold a Basic Georgia Peace Officer’s certification to include over 700hrs of ongoing training, Basic Georgia Firefighters Certification to include over 200hrs of training, and Taser Instructor Certification. I transferred from Georgia to Idaho in 2010 to continue my career with the Orofino Police Department.

Amanda Ruppe / Part Time Officer

I began my career in law enforcement with the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Department in 2003 working as a detention deputy in the jail and a part time communications specialist in dispatch. In 2005 I became a reserve for the Orofino Police Department and in January 2007 I left the sheriff’s department and was hired by the Orofino Police Department as a patrol officer. I continue to work part time with the sheriff’s department in a dispatch capacity.
I currently hold an intermediate certificate with the Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) for patrol, a level I certificate for both detention and dispatch, am a field training officer and have approximately 1390 hours of documented POST training hours.
I currently work full time for the NezPerce County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Officer.

Russ Card Reserve Officer

I was hired by the Orofino Police Department as a Reserve Officer in August of 1993 and advanced to Level 1 Reserve in September of 1998.
 
In April of 2003 I was hired by the Clearwater County Sheriff Office as a Detention Officer and promoted to Detention Corporal in 2009.  I have 820 POST credit hours.

Daryl Williams - Reserve Officer

I was hired by the Orofino Police Department in August 2007 as a Sworn Police Reserve Officer.
In addition to my law enforcement career I was trained by Compton Police and San Diego Police in street gangs. I have advanced my L.E.O. career in SWAT,Officer Involved Shootings (OIS), Dignitary Protection, Leadership and Basic Intelligence. I have over 1200 plus hrs in documented training. I currently hold a (POST) certificate in two states. I have attended college in Idaho and California. I own a protection company that provides security to high profile clients. I have four facilities where I train police/security in Baton, Taser, First Aid/CPR/AED, Dignitary Security, Mace and Firearms. I'm also the police rep for Eric Estrada (Ponch) in I.C.A.C. (Internet Crimes Against Children) As an officer with Orofino I provide over 200 plus hrs in patrol service a year.
